Side note--to the people who try to order from my shop without paying:
Under certain circumstances I can understand why someone might not pay for their order right away. Maybe you are new and need time to set up your PayPal account in order to transfer funds and purchase your item. But sometimes I come across a few people who order from my shop, and deliberately do not pay for their items. I can understand if you forgot. But if I email you back right after you have placed your order and still have not received any payment from your OR any REPLY from you to let me know that you need more time to pay (or that you really just don't plan on paying)... I'd appreciate it if you would LET ME KNOW. It's not that hard to reply back to a simple email is it? I don't like chasing these people down to try to get a reply back... I don't think that I should have to, and I don't like doing it either because then I feel like I'm coming across in a bad way. I'm not trying to be negative, but all I'm asking for is a simple reply -- 'sorry I forgot' or 'I will need a bit more time' or 'I've changed my mind and would like to cancel' -- it takes 2 minutes to reply back to my email. Yet when I see that you have not yet paid and I send you that email as a reminder, I don't get a reply back.
From now on what I'm going to do is this:
- I'll still send out the email if I notice that I have not received your payment yet. So I'll send it out as a reminder.
- If I do not hear back from you within 3 days, I'm going to cancel your order (so that I do not get charged the extra fees that incur when a transaction takes place
Lesson: Immediate payment is greatly appreciated! BUT if you need more time that is understandable, just PLEASE do let me know. Thank you!
